Over 120 different languages are spoken in Tanzania making the most linguistically diverse country in East Africa. Although Swahili is used as national language, English is used in foreign trade and other tourism industry.

CHEMKA HOT SPRINGS

​An Oasis In The Backcountry .The Chemka Hot Springs are an oasis in the hinterland of the Kilimanjaro region, situated 40 kilometers from Moshi. At these idyllic underground springs with the crystal clear, turquoise water, you can enjoy the perfect rest after a strenuous Kilimanjaro climb or adventurous wilderness safari. But also, for day-trippers, they are an ideal destination. Whether it's the old, the young, the quiet or the active, the Chemka Hot Springs invite you to linger, swim and explore. The pond is very deep, in some places up to 10 meters, but the water is so clear that you can see the bottom well all the time. On the shore under lush trees you can camp, enjoy your snacks or soak up the sun.

MAASAI CULTURE AND ACTIVITIES

Tanzania is a melting pot of cultures. 126 different ethnic groups call it their home. Probably the best known and most impressive are the Maasai people.

We will be welcomed by the local Maasai with a traditional welcome song and dance.

 you will learn about the history, social organization and tools of Maasai people.

With their distinctive customs and dresses, they magically pull us into their spell. In “Manyara”, a 100 % authentic Maasai village, we spend a day with this fascinating tribe. Get to experience the Maasai’s marvelous dance, traditions, customs and rituals as we wander around the village.

MANDARA HUT (MAUNDI CRATER) 2720M

Encompassed by huge trees, the Mandara Huts Campsite is located inside the rain forest region vegetation of Mount Kilimanjaro. This region is full of wildlife and plenty of rainfall making the surface of the pathways always wet and somehow slippery with a normal quantity of humidity and relatively good temperature as compared to the other regions of the mountain. Approximately 1km away as you go upwards is the Maundi Crater whereby you can get one of the best glimpses of the mountain Peak and good view of the rain forest.​

LAKE CHALA

Lake Chala, which is located between the border of Kenya and Tanzania at the East side of Kilimanjaro region. Formation of Chala is from volcanic eruption at previous years, so it is now a caldera with water inside, which is more than 300 m deep and 3 km wide.Down way heading to the lake Chala you will have a fantastic view Kenya Savannah of the Tsavo East National park in Kenya where is the source of the Elephant Migration to the Lake Chala during the dry season searching for water the vies of the Pare Mountains, Lake Jipe, and the dead volcanic lava from the eruption of Mount Chala while walking heading to the Lake.After arriving at lake Chala you will descend to the lake itself. You can do some walking around the rim of the lake and by chance see some elephants, if they haven’t migrated to other places..

CHAGGA ANCIENT CAVES, WATERFALLS & COFFEE ACTIVITIES

Chagga caves. Used during the war between the Chagga and Maasai people. Your local historian will tell you more stories about Chagga people, the tribe that lives around Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Chagga museum, where you will get to know more about their history and culture, see their traditional houses, weapons used during war &, agricultural, achievements.
